Application and database support and maintenance is the ongoing activity required to support normal use of business application software products. This includes answering user questions, providing bug fixes, providing ad hoc reporting, setup and trouble shooting of production batch processing, etc.

The ITS Business Services Division currently supports over 60 applications for more than 30 county departments. These range in size from single-user applications developed using Microsoft Access running on a desktop PC to countywide applications running on application servers. The division utilizes an application maintenance framework to deliver small enhancements and provide bug fixes.
