Monitor shut-down Johnson County ITS has initiated a program to power down computer monitors after 15 minutes of inactivity and after 20 minutes of inactivity the hard disk(s) component of the machine will spin down.

Computer shut-down Johnson County ITS has initiated a program that powers down county owned computers to a hibernate state based on department provided time schedules. Over 1,500 county owned computers are "powered down" to a hibernate state which will save the county thousands of dollars annually.
