Johnson County Technology Consortium
In 2000, Johnson County ITS extended an invitation to all Johnson County public entities to meet periodically to discuss areas of common interest. As a result of that meeting, the Johnson County Technology Consortium was created. All interested parties from the cities, school districts, and public utilities meet with ITS quarterly to share information and explore potential opportunities for cooperative work.

MARC
The Mid-America Regional Council, commonly referred to as MARC, serves as the association of city and county governments and the metropolitan planning organization for the bistate Kansas City region.

MARC seeks to build a stronger regional community through cooperation, leadership and planning. Through MARC’s leadership, area jurisdictions and diverse community interests sit down together to address the region’s problems and identify the opportunities for cooperative solutions. These efforts, in turn, enhance the effectiveness of local government.

Johnson County ITS is actively involved with the Regional Information Technology Managers Association (RITMA) and also with the Metro Area Government Webmasters (MAGWeb) groups sponsored by MARC.

NACo
The National Association of Counties (NACo) is the only national organization that represents county governments in the United States. Founded in 1935, NACo provides essential services to the nation’s 3,066 counties.

NACo advances issues with a unified voice before the federal government, improves the public's understanding of county government, assists counties in finding and sharing innovative solutions through education and research, and provides value-added services to save counties and taxpayers money.

PTI
The Public Technology Institute is a national member supported organization based in Washington, DC. As the only technology organization created by and for cities and counties, PTI works with a core network of leading local government officials– the PTI membership – to create technology research, best practices, consultancies, and pilots, to promote development initiatives and enhance educational programming.

Officials from PTI member governments participate in Councils and Forums that address specific technology areas. Through partnerships with the technology industry, federal agencies, and other governmental organizations, PTI shares the results of these activities and the expertise of its members with the broader audience of the more than 30,000 cities and counties across the United States.
